Telangana: 500 KITS Warangal students placements in core sector

Warangal Urban: “For the academic year 2018-19, as many as  501 placements were offered by various multi-national companies (MNCs) as on date which includes IT, Core & PSUs” said Dr. Srikanth Pabba, Training and Placement Officer at KITS Warangal (KITSW).  “Out of 501 offers, about 100 students got Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) and joined as interns in reputed multinational companies even before finishing their graduation. The companies which offered PPO include MuSigma, GGK Technologies, Nineleaps, Znalytics, Ad3i, Acheron, AIR Worldwide, Aliens Group, Amararaja Batteries, Amrutha Tool Crafts, Raam Group, Uton Energia, VEM Technologies, Prathiraj Metal Masters, Vistex etc.  Compared to previous year, PPO’s increased to 3 times. The number of placements in core sector was also remarkable this year”, he added.

Realizing the importance of being close to corporate, the institute also set up a corporate office in Hyderabad in the year 2014 which is working in tandem with Training & Placement cell to bridge the gap between Companies and college. Several other companies are in the pipe line for campus recruitment and more students are expected to be placed in the coming days in the core and software fields.

Over 75 companies assessed students of 2018-19 to offer 501 jobs with 21 Lakhs per Annum CTC paid by MuSigma being highest for the year.  KITS Warangal stands first in the state for its number of offers in Infosys (65), Wipro (53) & HCL (31). 69 students got offers in TCS through National level tests TCS CodeVita & TCS Ninja. Other companies which offered jobs include CTS (31), Mphasis (27), Red Carpet (23), Raam Group (21), TATA Elxsi (17), Znalytics (16), Amrutha Tool Crafts (12), Atos Syntel (10), Ad3i (11), RAAM Group (19) to name a few.

He also added that “As PPO represent a future trend of hiring, the institute is encouraging the students to go for 06-08 months internship in MNCs, during their 8th semester after being offered PPO”.
